Harry Coumnas is Responsible for Directing the Orbiter's Investigations in Science
Because outer space is mostly undiscovered, astronaut Harry Coumnas believes there is a wealth of opportunity for ground-breaking discoveries. To that purpose, he works tirelessly for long hours to conduct research after receiving data from space. He is primarily in charge of the scientific experiments conducted aboard the shuttle, in the cabin, and at the Spacelab, a bus-sized laboratory transported inside the cargo area. Furthermore, he has received the comprehensive training required to complete the mission's objectives, which include the construction of a space station, the investigation of microgravity, the repair of satellites, the operation of robot arms, and the performance of various scientific experiments. Harry Coumnas has demonstrated his vast knowledge in both discipline and cross-disciplinary expert groups. He also has outstanding abilities to communicate verbally and in writing. As a result of his expertise in aviation and technology, he efficiently designs energy-...
